Athletic Accomplishments:
Mitrovic is a three-time All-American who helped the Tigers to the semifinals of Northeast Water Polo Conference Tournament last season. He is the program's all-time leader in saves with 845.
Out of the Pool:
Vojislav is involved several activities including the Priorities Committee. The committee reviews the operating budget of the University, considers issues that arise in the course of the preparation of that budget, and reviews plans for the development of the University. The Provost chairs the committee, which also includes the Dean of the Faculty, the Executive Vice President, the Treasurer, six faculty members (at least one from each division and one non-tenured), four undergraduates and two graduate students (chosen with due consideration to the variety of interests represented in the student body), and one member from one of the other groups represented. Mitrovic is believed to be the first athlete on the committee in at least 15 years.
Mitrovic is also an Alternate Resident College Advisor (RCA) at Rockefeller College. RCAs share responsibility for advising first and second-year students on many aspects of University life. They initiate a variety of activities, facilitate friendships among new students, support students during the transition to college, and refer their advisees to resources and offices as needed.
Vojislav is also the director of the Princeton Yearbook Agency. The agency is the only vendor for Princeton's three annual, undergraduate yearbooks: the Nassau Herald, Bric-a-Brac, and Freshman Herald.
Vojislav on the Experience:
"From day one since I arrived at Princeton, I realized that there's a culture of family from undergraduates to graduates," said Mitrovic. "I want to give back to Princeton because it gave a lot to me in terms of personal development.
"With the Priorities Committee, I'm trying to improve the day-to-day life for student-athletes after me," mentioned the three-time All-American. "Being an RAC is leading by example. I've been through a lot of things so I can give a different perspective. Being involved in all these activities made me grow as a person, a leader and improve myself intrinsically and in many different ways."
