Five Tigers Score as Women's Soccer Rolls Past Lehigh

Winning its third in a row, the Princeton women's soccer team saw five Tigers split the goals on Tuesday night in a 5-1 victory over Lehigh.
Dylan Jovanovic gathered a loose ball in the 11th minute and fired it across the goal to get Princeton on the board, and before the half was out, Princeton added headers off corner kicks from Alexandra Barry in the 18th minute and Isabella Garces in the 41st to give the Tigers a 3-0 halftime lead. Jovanovic's goal was the first of the sophomore's career.
Maddie Recupero sent home a loose ball less than a minute into the second half to make it 4-0 Princeton, and Sarah Houston finished off a crossing pass from Nina Cantor for the final Princeton goal in the 57th minute.
Lehigh spoiled the shutout in the 84th minute with a Taylor Latini goal.
Princeton outshot the Mountain Hawks 26-10 overall and 9-3 on goal with Sydney Romano and Cecilia Cerone again splitting the halves. Romano didn't face a shot on goal in the first half and Cerone made two saves while seeing Latini's goal get through in the second half.
The Tigers will return to Ivy League play on Saturday when Columbia visits for a 1 p.m. kick. Princeton will recognize its six-member senior class prior to the game.
