PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton dropped a highly offensive battle against Wagner in their midweek matchup.

Wagner took an early 6-0 lead in this ballgame, putting up six runs between the first and third innings.

The Tigers responded by putting up three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, off of an RBI from Jake Koonin, followed by an RBI double from Tomas Cernius, making it 6-3.

The Seahawks put up another run in the fourth inning, extending their lead to 7-3. The Tigers continued to chip away at the deficit in the fourth inning with Isaac Lamson grounding out to second base bringing in a run, followed by Tommy Googins scoring on a wild pitch, making it a 7-5 score.

In the sixth inning, the Tigers were able to tie the game with an RBI from Koonin followed by Werdesheim reaching on an error.

Brady Kaufman put up a two run home run for Princeton in the seventh inning, giving them the 9-7 lead.

Wagner continued to put up eight runs in the eighth inning, taking a 15-9 lead. The Tigers followed by putting up two more runs on two walks later in the inning, cutting the deficit down to 15-11.

While the Tigers did not score in the ninth, Wagner put up one more additional run, claiming the 16-11 win.

James Beasley got the start for the Tigers, giving up six runs, five hits and striking out one in his three inning outing.

Kasey Gilman entered the game in the fourth inning, pitching an effective three innings, allowing only one run and four hits.

The Tigers prepare for their trip up to Dartmouth this upcoming weekend for their three game Ivy League series, with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday, followed by a single game on Sunday.
