Neil Pomphrey is a volunteer assistant for the men's squash program.
Pomphrey has been a vital presence at both team practices and matches since he joined the staff, and he is widely considered one of the finest match coaches in the nation. A native of Scotland and a nationally ranked squash player in the United States, Pomphrey recently retired from the University’s Plasma Physics Laboratory.
Pomphrey was a trusted assistant to longtime men's head coach Bob Callahan and was a crucial figure during a brilliant Princeton stretch since the turn of the century. Princeton won nine Ivy League titles in a 14-year span from 2000-13, and it defeated Trinity 5-4 in the 2012 team final to win the program's 11th national title and to end the 13-year championship run by Trinity.
