Men’s Tennis Sweeps In Doubles, Picks Up Six Singles Wins At ITA Regionals

PRINCETON, N.J.-  The Princeton men's tennis team continued play at the ITA Northeast Regional with day two of the tournament's main draw. The Tigers came in hot, picking up wins in all four doubles matches.
Ellis Short and Fnu Nidunjianzan started the day with a decisive 8-3 victory over Jackson Morash and Ofer Hacohen of Lehigh.
Evan Wen and Aleksandar Mitric battled back in their match after trailing to take a 8-7 (4) win over Michael Wright and Eyal Shyovitz.
The second wave of doubles had Sawyer Severance and Milan Markovits facing Antonio Franquis Leon and Tiago Lima of Drexel, in which they won 8-4.
Sebastian Sec and Meecah Bigun rounded out the group with a dominant 8-2 showing over Jorge Alonso Cortes and Asaf Shwartz of FDU.
Princeton earned six singles wins to cap off a strong day two.
Paul Inchauspe worked quickly and defeated Cole Thurgur in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
Mitric followed suit with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Delaware's Federico Garbero.
Wen, Nidunjianzan, Sec and Severance all picked up wins in three sets to advance to the round of 32.
