Tigers Jump One Spot To No. 16 In Coaches' Poll

CHANDLER, ARIZ. – Behind three victories, two against ranked opponents, the Princeton Tigers improved to No. 16 in the Penn Montco/NFHCA Coaches' Poll, the organization announced today.
With 44 of 46 first-place votes, Connecticut remains as the top squad in the poll. Duke, Virginia, Penn State and North Carolina round out the top five. Harvard is the top Ivy League team at No. 14.
Princeton is 4-4 on the season and currently on a three-game winning streak. The Tigers defeated then-No. 10 Maryland last Tuesday, 2-1, before taking down Dartmouth, 5-0, on Saturday and then-No. 24 Boston, 1-0 on Sunday. For her efforts, Ryan McCarthy was selected as the Ivy League Player of the Week and Suburban Transit/GPT Athlete of the Week yesterday.
The Tigers take on Yale at Bedford Field on Friday night (6 p.m.) before a trip to No. 7 Syracuse on Sunday afternoon (2 p.m.). Friday night's game vs. Yale will be streamed on the Ivy League Network while the Syracuse matchup will be featured on ESPN3.
