Neff Picks Up Ivy League Rookie of the Week Honor

PRINCETON, N.J. – MaryKate Neff was honored as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today.

It's the second straight week that Princeton picked up the Rookie of the Week accolade as Julianna Tornetta received it last Monday.

Neff scored first career goal vs. the No. 22 Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Friday. During the 43rd minute, after a shot attempt off corner, the freshman dove for the loose ball and touched it behind the line for her first collegiate tally.

Princeton earned a weekend split, defeating No. 22 Rutgers, 4-1, on Friday, but falling to No. 3 Penn State, 2-0 on Sunday. The Tigers will travel down to No. 1 Duke next Sunday. The match is scheduled for 12 p.m.Ryan gets on the board off a great deflection. 2-0 Tigers! pic.twitter.com/novCYXTUQY
