Mason Rocca '00, a 14-year pro in the Italian leagues, completed his master's degree at Northwestern and has received a teaching fellowship.
Rocca '00 Receives Teaching Fellowship

Men's basketball alum and 14-season European pro Mason Rocca '00 will be continuing his career in the classroom, and he's received a Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship to help him get started.
Rocca played on two Ivy League championship teams and reached the postseason all four years at Princeton, including as a sophomore with the 1998 team that reached No. 8 in the AP poll and made the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He retired from professional basketball in 2015 after 14 seasons in Italy.
Following his pro career, Rocca returned to his hometown of Evanston, Ill., to pursue his master's degree in secondary education at Northwestern with a concentration in math, completing it this year. The Knowles Science Teaching Fellowship is a five-year program intended to provide new math and science teachers with professional development, resources and support. Rocca was an electrical engineering major at Princeton.
