Kiles Earns a Trip to Eugene

Junior August Kiles punched his ticket to Eugene, qualifying for his first NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Kiles cleared 5.25 (17-2.75) to finish fifth in flight 2 and eighth overall. He passed on the opening height of 4.85 and then made it over both 5.00 and 5.15 on his second attempts. He made it over 5.25 on his opening chance. He failed to clear 5.35 on his three attempts. Kiles' 5.25 is his second best mark of the season. His best clearance, a 5.31, won him the Ivy League Championship.
Senior Ben Gaylord finished off his Princeton career clearing 5.00 (16-4.75). He cleared the opening height of 4.85 on his second attempt and took two jumps to clear 5.00. He was not able to surpass his PR of 5.02 on the next height, 5.15 to finish 34th .
Freshman Joey Daniels wrapped up his freshman season this afternoon. He posted a time of 14.16 to take seventh in heat 4 and 27th overall. Daniels won the Ivy League Heps championship with a wind-aided 13.88.

In the shot put, junior Mitchel Charles finished 39th overall. Only one of his three throws counted, his second attempt of 16.65 (54-7.5). He fouled on his first and third attempts.

On the final day of the NCAA Regionals, five Tigers will be competing. Seniors Garrett O'Toole and William Paulson race in the 1500 quarterfinal at 6:45 p.m. Senior Jared Bell will be flight 2 of the discus at 2 p.m., sophomore Stefan Amokwandoh will be in flight 2 of the triple at 3 p.m., and senior Xavier Bledsoe is in flight 1 of the high jump at 6 p.m.
