DMR Runs Top-10 Time at Penn Relays

Results
The Tigers' distance medley relay clocked 9:42.67 in the Championship of America race on Day 2 of the 123rd Penn Relays at Franklin Field.
Junior Noah Kauppila led off with a 2:59.02 in the 1200-meter leg before freshman Connor Matthews clocked 48.36 in the 400. Junior Josh Ingalls ran a 1:50.15 in the 800 before senior William Paulson closed with a time of 4:05.15 in the 1600-meter leg.

It is the eighth fastest DMR in school history, with the record standing at 9:35.23 set by Alexander Hastings '94, Scott Anderson '96, Christopher Lear '96 and Andrew Collins '96 from the 1993 Penn Relays. Princeton won this event at the 2012 Penn Relays with a 9:42.45

Freshman Joey Daniels clocked 14.51 in the 110-meter hurdles to finish 15th overall. It was his second fastest time of the season, after clocking a 14.04 at Texas a few weeks ago.

Sophomore Andrew Diehl cleared 2.00 (6-6.75) in the high jump to tie for 13th. He was over 1.96 on his first attempt and 2.00 on his second attempt at that height.

In the shot put championship, senior Christopher Cook threw to 17.39 (57-0.75). He threw to 17.17, 17.07 before his best throw on his final attempt to place 10th.
