Cook '17 Earns Baltic Basketball League Player of the Month Honor
December 05, 2017 | Men's Basketball
Princeton basketball alumnus Steven Cook '17 has earned the Baltic Basketball League Player of the Month honor for November after averaging 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists over the team's first five BBL games to lead his club in scoring and rebounding in league contests.
Cook is playing for BC Tartu in Estonia, located in the southeastern part of the country about two hours from the capital, Tallinn.
As a Tiger, Cook was a three-time All-Ivy League honoree, finishing with a first-team honor in 2017 as he helped lead the Tigers to a 14-0 Ivy League record and the first Ivy League Tournament title, for which he was named to the Ivy League All-Tournament Team. Princeton made its 25th NCAA Tournament appearance, coming within a possession of ACC Tournament finalist Notre Dame in the first round.
Cook was a standout off the court as well, earning two Academic All-Ivy League honors as well as becoming the program's first CoSIDA Academic All-America since 1998. The combination of his on-court success and his off-court contributions earned him a place on the Allstate NABC Good Works Team and recognition at the NCAA Final Four.
