Alarie Honored as Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – For her performance against Lafayette and Quinnipiac, Bella Alarie was selected as the Ivy League Player of the Week.

It's the fourth time in her career that Alarie has been chosen as the Player of the Week. It's her 13th weekly award as she was picked Rookie of the Week nine times last year.

The sophomore posted two consecutive double-doubles, the 12th and 13th of her career in victories over Lafayette and Quinnipiac, averaging 15.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists.

Against Lafayette, the sophomore snagged 14 points and 12 rebounds, along with six blocks and two steals in a victory on Wednesday. Her six blocks were one shy of her career high.

Against Quinnipiac, Alarie recorded 16 points, 11 rebounds, stole three passes, blocked two shots and was 6-of-9 (66.7 percent) shooting. The sophomore surpassed 500 career points in the victory. The Tigers held the Bobcats to one basket over the final seven minutes in a 60-46 decision. It was just the Bobcats' fourth loss at home since the beginning of the 2014-15 season, after winning 43 of its their previous 46 at TD Bank Sports Center.
Princeton held Quinnipiac to its lowest point total and second lowest shooting percentage (30.9) of the year.

Head coach Courtney Banghart's squad will take on Rutgers in New Brunswick on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
