VIDEO: Two Sports, Two Titles, Two All-Ivy Honors … Meet Jesper Horsted
October 11, 2017 | Football
Junior wideout Jesper Horsted is challenging some historic wide receiver numbers this fall. That shouldn't come as a huge surprise, considering Horsted has spent the last two years challenging the norms of Division I sports.
Specialize? No, it wasn't for him.
The 2015 Minnesota High School Athlete of the Year has quickly developed into one of Princeton's most dominant players on two different surfaces, and he experienced a 2016 like few ever have. As a freshman, he moved into the starting lineup as the leadoff hitter and starting centerfielder during the baseball team's surprise run to the Ivy League title. A few months later, Horsted caught 30 passes and helped the league's most dominant offense power Princeton to four victories in must-win situations during the football team's 2016 championship season.
Horsted was All-Ivy in both, and he won the Ivy League title in both.
Horsted isn't the only two-sport standout in recent Princeton history — more on that in this video feature — but he has been one of the most impressive in quite some time. You can watch the full feature by clicking on the play link above, or by visiting the Princeton Football YouTube page.
