September 16, 2016 | Football
If you were at Princeton Stadium for the 2015 Community and Staff Day, you saw fireworks both during and after the Tiger football home opener.
On Sept. 17, the Tigers will try to repeat their 52-point outburst from last year when they welcome Lafayette to Powers Field, but the Department of Athletics has you covered for those post-game fireworks.
Princeton University faculty and staff, as well as the local community, are invited to 2016 Community and Staff Day, a celebration of sports, entertainment and community. It will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, beginning at 3:30 pm, and it will feature a Youth Sports Clinic (open to ages 5 to 12) and a Family Fun-Fest featuring activities from local non-profits and University departments, games and more.
The 2016 Princeton football season will open at 5 pm that day against Lafayette; last season, Princeton traveled to Easton in the 2015 opener and posted a 40-7 win over the Leopards.
For the third straight year, there will be a an aerial fireworks show at the conclusion of the game.
