Contini & Koelzer Named All-ECAC Hockey

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/7/15) - Sophomores Molly Contini and Kelsey Koelzer have both been named second-team All-ECAC Hockey it was announced at the league's championship banquet in Potsdam, N.Y.
They are the first Tigers to earn a place on the all-ECAC teams since 2012.
Contini finished as Princeton leading scorer with 28 points on 16 goals and 12 assists. She led the league in goals, scoring 15 in 22 games and was sixth in the league in points with 22, averaging 1.00 point per game. She tallied three game-winning goals and one game-tying goal.During the season she had a five-game goal scoring streak, the longest documented scoring streak in Princeton history. Contini was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Month in November and the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week on Feb. 1. Contini was an honorable mention All-Ivy League selection.
Koelzer ranks second nationally in points per game for a defender with 0.84. She finished second on the team in scoring with 26 points, collecting a team-high 18 assists and eight goals. She was second in the league in points for a defender, with 18 in those 22 conference matches. Koelzer had her best offensive game vs. Brown on Jan. 10, scoring the game-winning goal and adding two assists. Koelzer also notched six other multiple-point games. Koelzer was also named first-team Ivy League this season.
Princeton went 15-14-2 this season, finished sixth in the ECAC with a 13-8-1 record and second in the Ivy League at 7-2-1.
