PHILADELPHIA (11/7/15) - The Princeton men's soccer team won its second straight game by shutout, as the Tigers defeated Penn 2-0 this evening at Rhodes Field.
Junior Josh Haberman made four saves in his second consecutive start and second shutout. Seniors Brendan McSherry and Thomas Sanner scored within four minutes of each other in the first half.
McSherry scored his sixth of the season, as he dribbled around the top of the box and shot into the upper 90. Sanner followed up 3:22 later with help from senior defender Josh Miller. Miller served a long ball into the attacking third, and Sanner dribbled and finished on a one-on-one with Max Polkinhorne.
Polkinhorne finished the game with seven saves as Princeton outshot Penn 20-8.
The Tigers, now 9-5-2 overall, host Yale in the regular-season finale on Saturday, Nov. 14. Game time is 4 p.m., on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium.
