Tyler Lussi has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, the first Princeton player to do so in the history of the award.
It's also been 11 years since Princeton put together three Ivy Rookie of the Week honors between more than one player in a season, when Emily Behncke '06 and Maura Gallagher '06 each won twice in 2002.
Lussi scored both goals in Princeton's 3-2 defeat at Penn Friday night, giving her 10 goals on the season to become the highest-scoring Princeton freshman since 1982. Her final goal came with no time to spare, just beating the final horn.
Lussi was also named Ivy Rookie of the Week on Sept. 9 and Sept. 30, with the first award coming as part of a sweep with Lussi also winning the Ivy Player of the Week honor.
