For five of the last six years, the first weekend in December has been reserved for DeNunzio Pool and the Big Al Open, which the Princeton swimming and diving teams used as the key meet of the first half of their seasons. This weekend, both squads will pack their bags and head to a brand new facility to compete with some familiar rivals.

Princeton will join seven other teams at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center this Friday through Sunday for the inaugural Brown Invitational. Among the field will be Ivy rivals Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth and Yale, as well as Army, New Hampshire and Rider. Trials sessions will be at 11 am on Friday and Saturday, and 10 am on Sunday. Finals will be held at 6 pm Friday and Saturday, and at 5 pm on Sunday.

Fans who won't be in attendance can watch the finals sessions live via video streaming (see link above); you can purchase either an $8 single-day pass, or a $30 30-day pass for all events on BrownBears.com. Furthermore, live results for the meet will be available through the Active Network's Meet Mobile application available as a free download from either iTunes or Google Play. The app provides fans with the ability to view real-time results and splits, as well as heat sheets, final results and team scores, and the download can be accessed through the live stats link on the swimming and diving schedule pages.

The meet, which also serves as the dual meet between Princeton and Brown, will feature several of the league's top swimmers.

For the men, Princeton has the Ivy League's best individual time in four events, including a pair (100 free, 200 back) from freshman En-Wei Hu-Van Wright. Sophomore Harrison Wagner has the league's best time in the 50, while classmate Michael Strand leads the league in the 100 back.

The Yale sophomore duo of Rob Harder (200 free, 500 free) and Alwin Firmansyah (100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM) has five top Ivy times, while Dartmouth junior Nejc Zupan is a returning Ivy League champion with a B-cut time already in the 200 fly.

On the women's side, Princeton junior Lisa Boyce won three individual events at the 2012 Ivy League Championships, and she has the league's top time in the 50 free this season. The freshman duo of Nikki Larson and Sada Stewart has had very strong starts, and Larson was named CollegeSwimming.com National Swimmer of the Week after the Big Al Open.

Columbia senior Katie Meili has the Ivy League's top time in four events, including both the 200 and 400 IM, while Yale senior Alex Forrester has the top times in both the 100 and 200 fly. Yale freshman Eva Fabian has already proven to be one of the league's top distance swimmers, while Brown junior Briana Borgolini is one of the top breast swimmers in the league.
