The Texas Fall Invitational beckons eight members of the Princeton men's tennis team for competition against players from nine other schools Friday through Sunday.

Draws and other tournament information can be found here.

Players from Ball State, Marquette, Oklahoma, Rice, St. Edwards (Texas), TCU, Texas-Arlington, Texas-San Antonio and host Texas will compete against the Princeton eight, including Matija Pecotic, Zack McCourt, Augie Bloom, Matt Spindler, Dan Richardson, Jonathan Carcione, Dan Davies and Michael Lin.

Bloom, Spindler, McCourt and Pecotic are in the "A" draw, with Pecotic as the No. 2 seed in that draw behind Costin Paval of Oklahoma. Pecotic was ranked No. 67 on the preseason ITA singles list, but is seeded higher in this tournament than three other players in the draw who were higher than him on that initial ITA list, thanks to his outstanding fall play. Paval was No. 6 on the preseason ITA list, with Oklahoma's Guillermo Alcorta at No. 28, Texas' Soren Hess-Olesen at No. 42 and Oklahoma's Dane Webb at No. 57. Those players are seeded third through fifth in this draw, and Pecotic defeated Alcorta in the Round of 32 at the ITA All-America last month on his way to the semifinals.

In the "B" draw, Lin, Davies, Carcione and Richardson will compete, with Carcione as the No. 4 seed. In the doubles draw, McCourt is with Pecotic, Bloom is with Spindler, Davies is with Lin and Carcione is with Richardson.

"We're looking forward to competing at Texas' annual event which typically features an array of very strong players," Princeton coach Billy Pate said. "This is a great opportunity for us to play against some very good competition in a different region. We've been fortunate the last two days that we were able to get outdoors to practice following the devastating storm."

The event is the last one of the fall featuring more than one Tiger, as Pecotic will continue his fall at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in New York next weekend.
