Princeton field hockey freshman Katie Reinprecht was named to the roster for the 2009 Women's Pan American Cup, which will be played next week in Hamilton, Bermuda.
The Pan American Cup pits the region's top eight teams in competition for a spot in the 2010 World Cup. The USA will face Chile, Jamaica and Mexico in Pool B, while 2008 Olympic Games bronze medal winner Argentina is the top seed in Pool A. The winner will qualify for the 2010 World Cup to be held in Rosario, Argentina, August 30 to September 12, 2010.
Reinprecht was the 2008 Ivy League Player of the Year and a second-team All-America selection as she led the Tigers to the NCAA quarterfinals for the second time in three years. She led the Tigers and the Ivy League in scoring and ranked eighth nationally with 2.39 points per game.
Reinprecht has appeared for the United States on several occasions, most recently donning the Red, White and Blue at the Junior Pan-Am Cup in the fall.
