-Last season against Brown, Matt Mullery led the Bears with 19 points as Brown outshot Princeton by 13 percentage points in an 18-point victory, Princeton's largest margin of defeat in Providence since 1960. Douglas Davis led Princeton with 10 points in the first game between the teams. In the rematch at Jadwin, Princeton reversed the shooting disparity, and had three players in double figures, again led by Davis with 16 points, to overcome Peter Sullivan's 21 points and win. Brown used only six players in the first game, three of whom have since completed their college careers, before opening up the bench with 10 players seeing action in the rematch.
-Last season against Yale, the Tigers were outrebounded 43-23 in the first game, though only 16 of Yale's 41 individual rebounds from that contest return this season. Yale also outshot Princeton by 10 percentage points despite the Tigers hitting 7 of 14 three-pointers and Yale making just 2 of 11 from distance. Douglas Davis led Princeton with 11 points and Alex Zampier led Yale with 13, though Ross Morin and Travis Pinick, who each had 10 for Yale, finished their careers last season. In the rematch at Jadwin, Davis, Zampier and Morin again reached double-digit points, but Dan Mavraides led Princeton with 16 points while the Tigers won the rebounding battle and shot 53.5 percent to avenge the earlier loss.
-After giving up just 35 points against Goucher, the lowest total in that program's 20-year history, Princeton ranks No. 1 in Division I in scoring defense at 55.1 points per game allowed through Sunday's games. Northern Iowa is second at 55.4 ppg allowed.
-Princeton had a school-record 20 steals against Goucher, topping the previous record of 17 that was last set in 2002.
-Princeton has won seven of its last eight games and carries a 9-5 record into the Ivy League season. A year ago, Princeton was 5-8 entering Ivy play before starting the Ivy 4-0.
-Princeton started at least 2-0 in the Ivy League in both of Sydney Johnson's first two seasons in 2008 and 2009. Before that, Princeton had not started 2-0 in the Ivy since 2004.
-Princeton has not swept the Brown-Yale trip since 2004. That year was also the last time Princeton started the Ivy season on the road at those two schools.
-Princeton has nine wins before the start of the Ivy League season for just the third time in the past 12 seasons. The 1997-98 team went into Ivy play at 11-1, and since then, the top winners were 2004-05 (9-5) and 2006-07 (9-7). Princeton is seeking its first winning season since 2004-05.
-Princeton is 7-0 this season when it scores more than 60 points.
-Princeton is 6-0 this season when it leads at the half, 2-5 when it trails and 1-0 when it is tied.
-Princeton ranks No. 1 in the Ivy League in several statistical categories, including scoring defense (55.1 ppg), rebounding defense (31.4), steals (8.9 spg) and turnover margin (+2.36).
-Three Tigers are ranked in the top 250 in the country in a statistical category entering the week. Marcus Schroeder is 26th in steals per game at 2.4 and 33rd in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.47, while Douglas Davis is 47th in three-point field goal percentage at 40.2 percent and 78th in threes made per game at 2.5. Dan Mavraides ranks 249th at 1.9 threes per game.
-Princeton is now 9-2 when Dan Mavraides reaches double digits in scoring. Princeton's other records when players score at least 10 points are: Nick Lake (0-1), Douglas Davis (6-3), Patrick Saunders (2-2), Zach Finley (2-0), Ian Hummer (3-1), Pawel Buczak (2-0) and Will Barrett (1-0).
-The Tigers are 3-0 when either of their centers, Pawel Buczak or Zach Finley, score in double digits. Finley scored 13 in the season-opening win at Central Michigan, while Buczak's 14 points helped the Tigers to a win at Saint Joseph's on Jan. 2. Both players reached double digits in the comeback win over Manhattan in November.
-The race to be Princeton's active career scoring leader is competitive, with senior Zach Finley (551) leading sophomore Douglas Davis (529), senior Marcus Schroeder (473) and junior Dan Mavraides (461).
-Against Marist and Goucher, Princeton shot better than 50 percent from the field and from three-point range in back-to-back games for the first time this season in each category.
-Princeton's 24 assists against Goucher were its most since Jan. 26, 2004 when the Tigers also had 24 helpers against Southern Vermont.
-Princeton's 88 points against Goucher were its most since scoring 99 against Ursinus in 2003 and the 53-point margin of victory was its highest since beating Western Maryland by 54 in 2002.
-Princeton has accrued 40 assists in the last two games against Marist and Goucher while giving up just 16 turnovers.
-Princeton has had more assists than its opponent in each of the last eight games.
-Rookie Will Barrett had his best game of the season against Goucher, scoring 13 points with eight rebounds and three assists.
-Freshman Brendan Connolly reached season-highs in scoring (five points), rebounds (four) and assists (five) against Goucher. Connolly has scored nine of his 11 points, recorded three of his four blocks and had seven of his nine rebounds in the last two games.
-Douglas Davis' 22 points against Goucher marked his fourth 20-point game of the season.
-Marcus Schroeder has a 47-to-19 assist-to-turnover ratio overall this season and 18 to 3 in the last four games.
-Zach Finley has scored points in four straight games for the first time this season. Over the span, Finley has averaged 5.6 points per game.
-While scoring double digits for the last eight games, Dan Mavraides has averaged 14.0 ppg, 5.9 rebounds per game, 1.5 steals per game and a .412 shooting percentage. Those averages improve upon Mavraides' season-long averages of 12.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.3 spg and .396 field-goal percentage.
-Freshman Ian Hummer had his fourth double-digit scoring game of the season against Goucher, reaching 10 points on 4 of 6 shooting.
-Several Tigers are on Ivy statistical leader lists this season. They are:Pawel Buczak: 7th in offensive rebounds per game (1.9), 8th in blocks per game (0.9).
Douglas Davis: 3rd in three pointers per game (2.5), 7th in points per game (14.0), 7th in free-throw percentage (80.6), 8th in steals per game (1.3), 9th in minutes per game (30.8), 10th in three-point field goal percentage (40.2).
Dan Mavraides: 6th in three pointers per game (1.9), 8th in steals per game (1.3), 9th in free-throw percentage (78.9), 10th in points per game (12.2), 10th in defensive rebounds per game (3.6), 12th in rebounds per game (4.6).
Patrick Saunders: 2nd in three-point percentage (48.5).
