When the NCAA trophy that was awarded to the Princeton fencing team this afternoon in Columbus, Ohio makes it back to Jadwin Gym, it will go with the others from 2011, 2012 and 2013.

No other school has that collection. The sought-after hardware is awarded to the top four teams, and only Princeton has finished in the top four in each of the last four years. The 2013 trophy remains the only first-place trophy, as Penn State returned to the top for the first time since 2010, but this year's addition will go alongside the runner-up finish from 2012 and the fourth-place finish from 2011.

Penn State's men's and women's fencers combined to win 180 bouts, 21 more than Princeton while the Tigers were three bouts in front of St. John's.

With the second-place finish, Princeton is also the only school to finish in the top two in each of the last three years. Princeton was second to Ohio State in 2012, in front of Notre Dame in 2013, and now behind only Penn State this year.

Once the team competition was wrapped up, Princeton advanced a third fencer to the individual finals after Gracie Stone and Susannah Scanlan finished in the top four during the women's competition. Sophomore epee Jack Hudson finished third in the round-robin portion of the meet and went up against Yevgeniy Karyuchenko of St. John's, but Karyuchenko won the first two points and never let Hudson pull even in a 15-10 finish.

Both Scanlan and Stone were also defeated in their semifinal bouts, ending a two-year streak in which Princeton won individual NCAA titles. Jonathan Yergler '13 was the 2012 epee champion and Eliza Stone '13 won the saber championship last year.

Below are Princeton's final individual results. Complete results can be found here.
