Higginson is Fastest American Steepler at Worlds

Moskva, Russia (8/12/13) – Princeton's Ashley Higginson ’11 competed in her first IAAF World Championships this weekend in Moskva, Russia.

Higginson ran a season best 9:45.78 and had the best time of all three Americans in the race, as Shalaya Kipp clocked a 9:45.97 and Nicole Bush a 9:58.03.

Higginson was 11th in Heat 2 of the steeplechase heats on Saturday, Aug. 10, and two places out of qualifying for the final as the top five in each heat plus the next five fastest overall advance. She had the 7th next fastest time.
