PRINCETON, N.J. (2/1/13) - The Princeton women's hockey team won its second straight game in a 3-1 ECAC Hockey victory over Yale on Friday, Feb. 1 at Hobey Baker Rink.

All three Princeton goals came in the third period. Juniors Denna Laing and Sally Butler would each finish with a two-point night.

Yale took the lead on a goal by Stephanie Mock with less than two minutes to play in the second period after back-to-back saves by Princeton netminder Kimberly Newell.

Laing tied the game at 1-1 on her second goal of the season, with help from Butler at 7:07 of the second period.

Freshman Cristin Shanahan scored her first career in timely fashion as she tallied the game-winning goal at 10:53. Junior Alex Kinney and sophomore Brianna Leahy earned assists on the goal.

Eleven seconds after Yale pulled goalie Jaimie Leonoff, Butler iced the win with an empty-net goal. Junior Olivia Mucha and Laing were credited with the assists.
