2013-14 (6-5): represented Princeton at his fourth EIWA Championships, winning once during the main draw … won six matches during injury-plagued final season, splitting time at 125 and 133 … reached final at the Navy Invitational. 2012-13 (3-5): won three matches before suffering season-ending injury and withdrawing from the University … will be eligible to return for senior season during 2013-14 academic year. 2011-12 (27-11): became only the seventh wrestler in Princeton history to qualify for three NCAA Championships; no Tiger has ever reached four … matched his single-season total for the first two seasons by winning 27 matches, despite missing all of February with an injury … reached his second EIWA championship match at 125 pounds, where he fell to All-America Frank Perrelli of Cornell … reached the EIWA finals by recording falls in both the quarterfinal and semifinal … won six straight matches before the EIWA finals … topped Shane Young of West Virginia 8-2 in NCAA wrestleback match; it was Frey's second career win at NCAAs … named a member of the Princeton VSAAC (Varsity Student-Athlete Advisory Council). 2010-11 (27-12): recorded second straight trip to the NCAA Championships after placing fifth at the EIWA Championships … lost first match to sixth-seeded Nic Bedelyon of Kent State … won 27 matches overall, including two in the championship bracket of the EIWA Championships … earned All-Ivy League Honorable Mention after going 3-2 against the league competition … helped Princeton to lone league win with 7-1 win over Brown's Billy Watterson … was named team co-captain during the season … placed in all three season-opening tournaments, including a win at the Central Jersey Open … defeated eventual EIWA champion Frank Perrelli 8-1 at the Binghamton Open … won The Gifford Trophy as Princeton's top scorer during dual meets. 2009-10 (27-9): posted the best freshman season in more than a decade, winning 27 matches and reaching the NCAA Championships … entered the EIWA championships as the seventh seed, but pinned second-seed Joe Langel (Rutgers) and defeated third-seed Jasen Borschoff (American) to reach the finals; he became Princeton's first EIWA finalist since 2003 … lost in final to Troy Nickerson, the 2009 NCAA champion … qualified for NCAAs and lost opening match to top-seeded Angel Escobedo of Indiana; came back to earn a 5-4 consolation win over Shane Young for Princeton's first NCAA win since Jake Butler in 2005 … earned All-Ivy Honorable Mention after going 3-2 in the league and helping Princeton to its first winning Ivy season since 1987 … won The Gifford Trophy as Princeton's top scorer during dual meets … won first 11 matches of collegiate career, including championship match at Binghamton Open … more than half of his victories came by something other than decision (eight pins, two techs, four majors) … lost only nine matches on the season.

Wrestled for the powerhouse Blair Academy … went 124-24 throughout his career and finished in the top three at the national prep championships over the last three years … as both a junior and senior, he reached the national prep final … was a third-place finisher at the Ironman and a sixth-place finisher at the Beast of the East … named to the Academic All-MAPL team.

Born Jan. 29, 1991 … son of Jerry and Cynthia Frey … father is a salesman … brother Adam, a nationally ranked wrestler at Cornell, passed away in 2009 after a long and courageous battle against cancer.
