PRINCETON, N.J. (4/15/13) - Sophomore Erin McMunn of the Princeton women's lacrosse team earned her third Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honor of the 2013 season, on April 15.
McMunn led No. 16-ranked Princeton in scoring once again this week. The week she was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List, McMunn had an seven-point week with four goals and three assists and had 11 draw controls.
At No. 1 Maryland on Wednesday, McMunn had a four-point game with two goals and two assists but more impressively had nine draw controls. It is the most draw controls in a game since Abigail Gutstein had nine against West Chester in 1995. Gutstein holds the record of 10.
On Saturday's win over Harvard, McMunn scored twice and added an assist, while winning two draws and one ground ball. Her second goal of the game marked her 100th career point.
McMunn is the first Tiger to earn three weekly awards in one season since Julia Shaner was named Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2000. McMunn is the first three-time recipient of Offensive Player of the Week since Cristi Samaras in 1999.
