Led by rounds of 72 from Anna Jang and Tiffany Dong, the Princeton women's golf team beat Penn 296-306 in a dual match Saturday afternoon at the Philadelphia Cricket Club's Militia Hill Course in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

It was the first time Princeton met Penn in a dual since the program gained varsity status just more than 20 years ago.

Dong, a senior, opened with a birdie and an eagle to earn her best round of her Princeton career, bettering a 73 from last year's Princeton Invitational.

All six players from the Penn roster and all seven players from the Princeton roster played, with the top four scores from each team being counted. Penn's Amanda Chin had the day's low round with a 69, but Penn's other scores were 78, 79 and 80 as five Princeton players posted lower numbers. In addition to the 72s from Jang and Dong, Kelly Shon turned in a 75 with Alexandra Wong and Sydney Kirby each shooting 77s.

The Tigers will head to Wallace, N.C. and the River Landing Golf Club for their next tournament, the UNCW Seahawk Classic next weekend.
