As part of the Princeton defense that limited opponents to just 9.53 goals per game, Smith finished second on team in caused turnovers with 14 and added 17 draw controls and 13 ground balls. This year she scored her first career points, scoring her first goal against No. 14 Georgetown and winning a career-best five draw controls. Highlighting her season was her play against No. 10 Penn and Dartmouth, after which she was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week. She was also crucial in limiting Penn to just five goals, its fewest goals scored in an Ivy League game since April 15, 2006.

This is the second All-America honor for McMunn, as she was a second-team selection a year ago. She began the season on the Tewaaraton Watch List, and ended the season with a first-team all-region honor and a first-team All-Ivy League honor. Against Penn State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, she scored her 100th career goal. She currently ranks ninth all-time at Princeton with 174 points on 102 goals and 72 assists. McMunn is nine assists away from becoming Princeton's all-time assist leader.
