PRINCETON, N.J. (2/27/14) - The Princeton women's lacrosse team looks to extend its home win streak as it hosts No. 14 Georgetown this Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. It will be second game of a double header with the men's team, which hosts Hopkins at noon.

EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is coming off of an 11-4 win over in-state rival Rutgers from Wednesday night. After opening the season with a 15-10 loss at No. 6 Loyola, the Tigers are 1-1 on the season. The Erins of Erin McMunn and Erin Slifer lead the team in scoring. McMunn has nine points on four goals and five assists, while Slifer has five goals and one helper. Freshman Anna Doherty has scored four goals, and senior Sarah Lloyd has three. Sophomore Alexandra Bruno also has three points on two goals and one assist. Senior Caroline Franke has started in goal for both games and has an 8.72 GAA and a .409 save percentage. Junior Annie Woehling and freshman Ellie DeGarmo have both seen limited time in goal.

THE SERIES
Princeton leads the all-time series with Georgetown 11-7 since it began in 1997. The Hoyas ended the Tigers’ three-game win streak in the series last season with an 11-6 win in D.C. Eight of the 18 games in the series have been decided by one goal, including the last game in Princeton, a 12-11 Princeton victory.

SCOUTING THE HOYAS
Georgetown is 1-1 on the season after opening with a 19-11 win over Delaware followed by a 14-10 loss at No. 20 Towson this past Saturday. Sophomore Corinne Etchison leads the offense with six goals and two assists for eight points. Senior Hannah Franklin, junior Caroline Tarzian and senior Kelyn Freedman have six points apiece. Freedman has seven draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Senior Reilly Woodman is the team leader in draws with nine, while junior defender Adrianne Devina has three caused turnovers and four ground balls. Senior Barb Black has started in goal in both games and has a 14.96 GAA and a .125 save percentage. freshman Maddy Fisher has backed up in both matches and has an 11.65 GAA and a .333 save percentage.
