PRINCETON, N.J. (2/25/13) - Senior Caroline Rehfuss of the Princeton women's lacrosse team has been named the first Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week of the 2013 season.

Rehfuss was charged with guarding Villanova's leading scorer, Jackie Frocarro, and held her without a goal while she was defending her. Frocarro only scored when unguarded on a free-position shot. Rehfuss recorded four caused turnovers and three ground balls, both team highs, and added one draw control win. She was also involved offensively, assisting on the Tigers' second goal on an outlet pass.

Rehfuss becomes the first Princeton Defensive Player of the Week who is not a goalie since Katie Cox '09 earned the award as a midfielder on April 7, 2008. Rehfuss takes home her second career Ivy League weekly award after sharing Offensive Player of the Week honors in April of her freshman year.
