PRINCETON, N.J. (1/5/14) - The Princeton women's hockey team resumes ECAC Hockey action when it caps off its series with travel partner Quinnipiac on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The game is set for 7 p.m., at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn.

EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton returns to league play on a four-game win streak after sweeping Connecticut in a series this past weekend. The Tigers are 9-6-2 overall and are fourth in the league standings with a 6-4-1 record. The senior class has dominated scoring for Princeton, with nearly 50% of the team's points (50 of 102). Seniors Denna Laing and Sally Butler sit atop the scoring column with 11 points each. Laing has four goals and seven assists while Butler has a team-best nine assists to go along with two goals. Classmate Olivia Mucha has a team-high seven goals and chips in three assists for 10 points. Senior defenders Rose Alleva and Gabie Figueroa both have nine points, along with sophomore Jaimie McDonell. Sophomore Kimberly Newell has started in all but two games in net this season. She has a.900 save percentage and a 3.04 goals against average.

PRINCETON/QUINNIPIAC SERIES
Princeton owns a 10-7-3 lead in the all-time series since the team’s first met in 2001, four years prior to Quinnipiac joining the ECAC. The teams played to a 1-1 tie back on Nov. 26 at Hobey Baker Rink. The draw ended a six-game win strak by the Bobcats that dated back to ECAC Quarterfinals in 2011.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac is just one point ahead of Princeton in the league standings with a 5-2-4 mark. Overall the team is 14-2-5 and ranked No. 9 in the latest USCHO.com poll. Tuesday's game will make the Bobcats first game in a month, as they haven't seen action since Dec. 6 & 7 when the teams played RPI and Union. Since the tie with the Tigers, the Bobcats have won four straight. Senior Kelly Babstock is the league's leading scorer with 34 points on 12 goals and 22 assists. Junior Shiann Darkangelo has a team-high 14 goals and seven helpers for 21 points. Emma Woods is the leading freshman scorer on the team and in the league with eight goals and nine assists. Nicole Connery, Morgan Fritz-Ward, Amanda Colin and Cydney Roesler are also in double digits. Junior Chelsea Laden has played in goal in 19 of the team's 21 games. With a 12-2-5 record she boards a 1.11 GAA and a .945 save percentage. Her numbers position her second in the league behind Harvard's Emerance Maschmeyer.
