After the 2013 season yielded another Ivy League championship trophy and NCAA Elite Eight appearance, the Princeton field hockey team will welcome five student-athletes to join the Tigers for the 2014 campaign.

“We are thrilled to welcome the class of 2018,” said head coach Kristen Holmes-Winn. “They are a group of young women who thrive in competitive environments and have proven that they have the will and determination to rise to both the academic and athletic challenges inherent in the Princeton experience.

"They separated themselves during the recruiting process by their close alignment to the values of our program and a clear passion for all things Tiger Field Hockey. We are excited to see their talents unfold in the years to come,” Holmes-Winn added.

Princeton field hockey will announce each member of the Class of 2018 individually, so be sure to tune into GoPrincetonTigers.com over the next two weeks to meet the newest additions to the program.

The first member of the incoming class to be introduced is defender Sarah Brennan from Princeton, New Jersey.

Brennan comes to the Tigers from a four-year starting varsity career. Sarah garnered multiple individual awards, including first-team All-Prep, all-county and all-state. Nationally Brennan was named a National Academic All-America. She was no stranger to USFHA events; she attended multiple National Festival, Disney and Futures events.

Holmes Winn on Brennan:

‘Sarah is grit. Her character is evident with how she backs up will with work. As a high school student Sarah juggles multiple jobs, demanding academic obligations and a rigorous club and school athletic schedule. Sarah is a determined player whose strength is in her physiology and competitive drive. She will not be out-worked— her relentless nature will fit in well here! We know Sarah will give Princeton her very best on and off the field and we are honored to welcome her to the Tiger family.’
