Princeton To Be Well-Represented At Field Hockey World Cup
The U.S. national field hockey team, fresh off its win at the Champions Challenge in Scotland two weeks ago, will head next to the Netherlands for the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup.
As usual, when the United States team travels, Princeton University is well-represented.
Kathleen Sharkey ’13, Julia Reinprecht ’14 and Katie Reinprecht ’13 will again be members of the 18-player U.S. team, one that is currently ranked 10th in the world. The three players will be joined by former Tiger assistant coach Nathaniel Franks ’07, who will again serve the U.S. team as a performance analyst.
The Princetonians will be in Pool B at the event, along witih the second-ranked team in the world, Argentina, as well as third-ranked England, sixth-ranked Germany, seventh-ranked China and 11th-ranked South Africa.
The World Cup will be held in the Hague, beginning May 31 and running through June 15.
