This Week for the Tigers:
• The No. 6 Princeton field hockey team (3-1) will hit the road for its first pair of away matches this weekend.
• The Tigers kick off Ivy League play at Dartmouth (1-2) on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 12 noon.
• The next day Princeton heads to No. 5 Syracuse (6-0) to square off with the Orange at 3 p.m. live on ESPN3.

Last Time Out:
• The Tigers concluded their season-opening four-game homestand with a weekend split.
• After holding a 1-0 lead for nearly 62 minutes, Michigan State tied things up with 10 seconds to play in regulation to force Princeton into its first overtime match of the year on Sept. 13. In the 83rd minute, Allison Evans dished the ball to Teresa Benvenuti to tip in the game-winning goal from the right side.
• Two days later, Princeton went down 2-0 early to then-No. 13 Penn State. Its comeback effort fell short as the Tigers suffered their first loss of the season, 4-3.
• The loss snapped Princeton’s 17-game winning streak.

 Scouting Dartmouth:
• After opening the year on the road, Dartmouth (1-2) will host its home opener Saturday versus the Tigers.
• The Big Green are coming off a 5-0 loss to Northeastern on Sept. 13.
• Ali Savage leads the offense with three goals and two assists, while Janine Leger is the squad’s assist lead with three.
• Elle Meyer has played all 210 minutes in goal for Dartmouth, tallying a .600 saves percentage, 18 saves, a 4.00 goals against average and has conceded 12 goals against.

All-Time vs. Dartmouth:
• Princeton owns the all-time series versus Dartmouth 24-7-2, including going 11-4-1 on the road.
• In their last meeting, the Tigers defeated the Big Green 4-1 on Sept. 15, 2012 at Bedford Field.
• Dartmouth was the only Ivy opponent to score against Princeton last year.

Scouting No. 5 Syracuse:
• No. 5 Syracuse enters this weekend riding a 6-0 record.
• The Orange will travel to Boston College on Friday, Sept. 20 before hosting the Tigers.
• Syracuse has four multi-goal scorers with Lauren Brooks leading the way with seven. Leonie Geyer has a team-high six assists.
• Jess Jecko has 12 saves, a .706 saves percentage, five goals against and a 1.07 goals against average. As the lone Orange goalkeeper, she has a pair of clean sheets.

All-Time vs. Syracuse:
• Princeton leads the all-time series versus Syracuse 11-5, with a 5-2 record on the road.
• Syracuse was the only team to deal Princeton a loss in 2012 en route to the program’s first national championship. The Orange defeated the Tigers 2-0 on Sept. 23 at Bedford Field.

Evans Tabbed Ivy Player of the Week:
• Junior Allison Evans earned her first career Ivy League Player of the Week honor.
• She picks up the accolade following her two-assist and one-goal weekend.
• She assisted on the game-winning assist versus Michigan State on Sept. 13.
• Evans leads the Tigers with three assists and has two goals for seven points over four starts.
• She is tied for the Ivy League leader in assists.

Live on ESPN3: Princeton will make its 2013 national debut live on ESPN3 at Syracuse on Sunday.

The National Scene:
• Along with their No. 6 national ranking, the Tigers are ranked in multiple NCAA Division I statistical categories, including top-15 spots in:
• No. 6: assists per game
• Tied-No. 12: points per game
• No. 13: penalty corners per game
• Tied-No. 14: goals per game

Rookies Get Starting Nods:
• Freshmen Cat Caro and Annabeth Donovan earned their first career starts versus Michigan State on Sept. 13.
• The duo has made appearances in all four games, also earning starting nods versus then-No. 13 Penn State two days later.

Raise the Banner Night:
• Friday, Sept. 27 will be raise the banner night for the Tigers, celebrating winning the 2012 national championship.
• During halftime, Princeton will host a Bedford Field dedication ceremony.

Dominating the League:
• In 2012 Princeton only conceded one goal throughout Ivy League play, tallying six shutout victories.
• The Tigers played 420 scoreless minutes versus conference foes, outscoring Ivy opponents 45-1.
• Princeton has won eight of the last nine Ivy titles and 21 in program history.

A Look at Last Year:
Katie Reinprecht ‘13 was named Princeton’s first Honda Award Winner, along with garnering NFHCA and Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year and Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Kathleen Sharkey ‘13 led the nation in scoring and was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year.
• Teresa Benvenut ‘16 earned Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors.
• 10 Tigers were named All-Ivy and All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team selections.
• Five players earned All-America accolades.
Kristen Holmes-Winn was named the NFHCA and Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year.

The Captains: Seniors Kelsey Byrne, Michelle Cesan and Julia Reinprecht will serve as tri-captains in 2013.

 Beautiful Bedford:
• Bedford, a state-of-the-art turf facility, features an optimal playing surface in artificial turf and a built-in watering system.
• There are currently 1,572 seats, with room for additional temporary seating.

National Team News:
Julia Reinprecht ‘14, a 2012 London Summer Olympian, competed with the U.S. Senior National Team at the World League Semifinals in London this summer.
Michelle Cesan ‘14, a 2012 London Summer Olympics alternate, is a member of the U.S. Senior National Team.
Teresa Benvenuti ‘16 was named to the U.S. Senior National Team this spring. She competed with the U21s at the Junior World Cup in Aug. 2013.
• Alums Katie Reinprecht ‘13 and Kathleen Sharkey ‘13 are also members of the senior national team, most recently being named to the U.S. Pan Am Cup roster.
• Former assistant coach Nate Franks ‘07 is on staff at USA Field Hockey.

Williamson Joins Coaching Staff:
David Williamson joined the Tiger coaching staff as the team’s goalkeeping coach in 2013.
• He is a 2002 graduate of the University of Ulster.
• He previously worked at Monmouth, Kent State, the Irish Hockey and U.S. Field Hockey associations.
