Brendan Byrne appeared in two games in goal for the Tigers as a freshman, picking up a quarter of playing time in consecutive wins over Fordham and Iona. He made a save against Fordham and five against Iona. He also had a steal in the Iona game.
Princeton native Brendan Byrne played four years of varsity water polo at the Lawrenceville School. Byrne was a member of three New Jersey State Championship winning teams and was a high school Academic All-America.
