PRINCETON, N.J. (11/16/13) - Freshman Kelsey Koelzer's first career goal couldn't come at a better time as it marked the equalizer for the Princeton women's hockey team in a 1-1 tie with No. 5 Boston College.

The Tigers are now unbeaten in the last five games and are now 5-2-1 on the season.

Freshman Cassidy Tucker and senior Gabie Figueroa played the puck back-and-forth along the blue line as Princeton went on its third power-play of the game. Tucker rifled a shot that was tipped out in front by Koelzer.

The teams were evenly matched through the first two periods but it was BC that struck first. Leading scorer Haley Skarupa tallied her 13th goal of the season, converting on the team' second power-play opporunity at 11:10 of the second. Kate Leary and Meagan Mangene assisted on the goal.

BC started to come alive and started to drive pucks on net and outshot Princeton 5-0 in overtime after an 11-3 Princeton edge in the third period.

Sophomore Kimberly Newell made 32 saves in her first tie of the year, while Megan Miller stopped 33 on the other end for the Eagles who fall to 9-3-1 overall.

Princeton continues its five-game homestand next weekend when it returns to league play, hosting Clarkson and St. Lawrence on Nov. 15 & 16.
