Several current Princeton fencers competed in a North American Cup event in Milwaukee, Wis., in December, and four Tigers posted top-10 finishes.

Freshman foilist Michael Dudey and sophomore epeeist Katharine Holmes each finished sixth in their weapons as the top Tiger finishers. Dudey, one of 114 in his weapon, went 5-1 in pool competition, drawing the 21st seed, and won two direct elimination bouts before falling in the round of 16.

Holmes, one of 113 epeeists, swept pool play to earn the No. 2 seed and advanced all the way to the round of eight before ending her run.

Among other finishers, Anna Van Brummen placed 28th in epee, sweeping her pool bouts and making the round of 32, while Isabel Ford placed 13th in that weapon, going 5-1 in pool bouts, also making the round of 32. Hannah Safford was 72nd in epee, going 2-3 in her pool and falling in the opening direct elimination round.

Women's saber included three current Tigers among the 89 competitors, with sisters Eliza and Gracie Stone and Desirae Major taking part. Eliza Stone went 5-1 in pool bouts, making the round of eight and tying for 10th, while Gracie Stone went 4-2 in pool bouts, making the round of 16 and finishing 21st. Major swept her six pool bouts, making the round of 32 and finishing 17th.
