Eliza Stone isn't done adding to her fencing accolades after the 2013 NCAA saber title.

Stone helped the U.S. saber team win gold at the Korfanty Saber World Cup in her hometown of Chicago this past Sunday, finishing atop a field of 18 nations.

Stone, 22, was the youngest of four members of Team USA and the only one still in college, at least until she graduates next month. Her teammates included 24-year-old St. John's alumna Dagmara Wozniak, 27-year-old Duke alumna Ibtihaj Muhammad, and 28-year-old Notre Dame alumna Mariel Zagunis, a two-time Olympic saber champion.

The team competition was a race to 45 touches. In the Round of 16, the U.S. defeated Mexico 45-23, with Stone outscoring her two opponents by a combined 10-5. In the quarterfinals, the U.S. beat Poland 45-39, though Stone led off and was outscored in her first and only match 5-3. In the semifinals, the U.S. beat Russia 45-39, and Stone did not fence. But in the final against Hungary, which the U.S. won 45-38, Stone came back in a big way, fencing three times and getting the U.S. 15 points closer to the title.

In the earlier individual competition, Stone finished 23rd in a field of 134 competitors. Complete results are available at sabreworldcup.com.

Since winning the NCAA individual and team title, the first combined title for the Princeton program, less than two months ago, Stone also won first place at the North American Cup event in Richmond, Va., last month.
