Winter Academic All-Ivy Selections Announced

The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2012-13 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today. The 80 men and women selected were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and women from its eligible student-athletes. 

Princeton's selections for winter 2012-13 are:

Peter Callahan, Sr., Men's Track & Field, History (Evanston, Ill.)
NCAA champion in the distance medley relay, earning first-team All-America honors; won the one mile run and was part of Princeton's distance medley relay winning team at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships to earn Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet and first-team All-Ivy honors.

Julie Cerullo, Sr., Women's Squash, French & Italian (Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Four-time, first-team All-America; named All-Ivy while leading the team to the Ivy League title.

Samuel Kang, So., Men's Squash, Undeclared (Singapore)
Finished ranked ninth nationally; named All-Ivy playing at the No. 2 spot; led the team to an Ivy League title.

Kate Miller, Sr., Women Basketball, Economics-Finance Certificate (Rumson, N.J.)
Started and played in all 29 games as a senior, averaging 5.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game; a member of a team that won four-straight Ivy League titles and participated in four-straight NCAA Championships.

Eliza Stone, Sr., Women's Fencing, Politics (Chicago)
NCAA champion in saber; four-time All-America, went 16-0 in saber at the Ivy League Round-Robin to earn first-team All-Ivy in saber and the Most Outstanding Performer award; member of a team that won four-straight Ivy League titles.

Robert Stone, Jr., Men's Fencing, Politics (Chicago)
Finished seventh in saber at the NCAA Championship to earn second-team All-America honors.

Stevie Vines, Sr., Men's Swimming & Diving, Psychology (Smyrna, Ga.)
Finished second in 1m and 3m diving at the Ivy League Championships; earned the Ron Keenhold Career High Point Diver award; was a four-time Ivy team champion.

Tory Worthen, Sr., Women's Track & Field, Psychology (Holland, Pa.)
Won pole vault champion for seventh time (four indoor, three outdoor) at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships.

Jonathan Yergler, Sr., Men's Fencing, psychology, (Winter Park, Fla.)
Finished second in epée at the NCAA Championship, earning All-America honors for a fourth time; won the NCAA epée title in 2012 and also finished as the national runner-up in 2011.

Rachel Zambrowicz, Jr., Women's Swimming & Diving, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology (The Woodlands, Texas)
Finished second in 1m diving at the Ivy League Championships, earning second-team All-Ivy.
