The field for the NCAA fencing championships has been announced, and Princeton, as expected after Saturday's regionals, has officially earned 12 bids.

Princeton is one of only two schools, along with Notre Dame, to start out with the maximum 12. It's the fourth straight year Princeton has earned the maximum complement.

Qualifying the maximum 12 is key to a high overall finish. Each of the 12 fencers will fence the 23 other qualifiers in his or her weapon. Each victory counts as a point toward the joint men's/women's championship. Princeton finished second overall last year.

Here are Princeton's 12 competitors:

Men's Epee: Jonathan Yergler, Edward Kelley
Men's Foil: Rodney Chen, Michael Dudey
Men's Saber: Philip Dershwitz, Robert Stone
Women's Epee: Katharine Holmes, Susannah Scanlan
Women's Foil: Eve Levin, Ambika Singh
Women's Saber: Gracie Stone, Eliza Stone

GoPrincetonTigers will have much more on the fencing championships in our preview closer to the event. The championships will be conducted Mar. 21-24 in San Antonio, Texas. For the full list of qualifiers, click here.
