NEW ORLEANS (8/28/12) - The Princeton women's cross country team is ranked No. 15 in the preseason national poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Tigers are ranked second in the Mid-Atlantic Region right behind Georgetown and ahead of Villanova. The team finished fifth at the regional last year. Princeton has made the NCAA Championships as a team eight times in the last nine years. The program has won five of the last six Heps titles and looks to get back the crown this year. All-region runners Greta Feldman and Alexis Mikaelian are back for their senior seasons. Other regional and Heps scorers include sophomore Jackie Nicholas, junior Marissa Cummings and junior Molly Higgins.

Princeton opens the 2012 season on September 8 when it competes in the Spiked Shoe Invitational at Penn State.
