Curham Earns All-America Honors as Women's Cross Country Takes 30th

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (11/23/13) - Freshman Megan Curham earns her first All-America honors of her collegiate career as she finished 34th at the 2013 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Curham was the third Ivy League runner across the line in her first time competing in the NCAAs. In a cold and windy race, she covered the sloppy course which took hits in the weather all week, in 20:42.3. Curham is the seventh Tiger in Princeton history to earn All-America honors and the first to do so as a freshman.

As a team Princeton finished 30th overall.

Junior Kathryn Fluehr was the No. 2 Tiger across the line as she posted a 21:56 for 187th. Junior captain Emily de La Bruyere ran 22:09.8 for 208th and freshman Lizzie Bird was five places back at 22:13.6 for 213th place. Sophomore Kathryn Little was the final scorer finisheing in 221st at 22:18.3. Senior Clare Gallagher and junior Lindsay Eysenbach rounded out the Princeton seven.

Providence won the national championship with a score of 141. Arizona was second followed by Butler in third. Dartmouth's Abby D'Agostino won the race at 20:00.3.
