Box Score
Despite tossing four scoreless frames and limiting North
Carolina to only one run over the first four innings, the top-ranked Tar Heels
employed three multi-run innings to top the Princeton baseball team 16-0.

at 2 p.m. and UNC-Greensboro at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in doubleheader action.
Starter Kevin Link scattered four hits and a lone run over
the first four innings, but the offense was unable to produce any run support
for the righty. During that span the Tigers had three hits and stranded four
base runners, including a bases loaded third inning.
The turning point was the bottom of the fifth, when the Tar
Heels put together one of their multi-run innings. North Carolina scored three
runs with two outs, capitalizing on two hits and a Tiger throwing error to go
up 4-0.
UNC only gave up one more hit to the Tigers over the final
four innings, while the home side added eight runs in the seventh and four more
in the eighth to seal the victory.
The top performer for Princeton at the plate was designated
hitter Alec Keller, who went 3-for-4 in the leadoff spot.
