Five Top-10 Finishes for Men's Track & Field on the Final Day of IC4As

Final Results

PRINCETON, N.J. (5/13/12) - The Princeton men's track & field team finished in the top-10 of five finals as the Tigers wrapped up the 2012 IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday, May 13.

Junior Russell Dinkins was the runner-up in the 800, clocking in at 1:50.87. In the 400, sophomore Tom Hopkins ran 47.03 to finish fourth.

Hopkins along with senior Ivan Charbonneau, freshman William Egi and freshman Daniel McCord ran in the finals of the 4x100 and the relay finished seventh with a time of 41.23.

Junior Michael Palmisano ran 3:56.83 in the final of the 1500 to finish 10th.

In the triple jump, senior Garner McCloud took seventh overall. He recorded a mark of 14.98 (49-1.75) on his third attempt.

Princeton finished the IC4A with 39 points.



PRINCETON, N.J. (5/12/12) - Sophomore Conor McCullough won the hammer throw to highlight Day 2 of the 2012 IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Weaver Stadium on Saturday, May 12.

McCullough won the hammer throw with a toss of 73.81 (242-10). He reached 70+ meters on four throws and 69.98 on a fifth throw. The next best throw in the field of 25 was 65.75 (215-08).

The 4x100 relay qualified for the final. Senior Ivan Charbonneau, freshman William Egi, freshman Daniel McCord and sophomore Tom Hopkins ran 41.06 in the prelims and will take on the final tomorrow at 12:20 p.m.

Hopkins will also compete in the finals of the 400 after posting the third best time in the qualifying round of 46.86. The 400 final is slated for 1:05 p.m.

Junior Russell Dinkins ran the second best time today in the 800 at 1:50.25. He'll race in the finals tomorrow at 1:35 p.m.

Junior Michael Palmisano qualified for the finals of the 1500 after clocking in with a PR of 3:48.30 in the prelims, nearly two seconds better than his previous best time. The 1500 final is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.


PRINCETON, N.J. (5/11/12) - The three-day IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships kicked off today at Princeton's Weaver Stadium.

The steeplechase, 5k and 10k finals were held as well as the women's discus and half of the multi-events.

Freshman Eddie Owens was the runner-up in the steeplechase. His time of 8:56.39 was one of just four that was under nine minutes in a race that featured 28 competitors. it also marked a personal best and was about four seconds faster than his time last weekend.

Senior Peter Maag was fifth in the 5k race with a time of 14:16.84, pushing ahead of 21 other distance runners. He succeeded his previous PR of 14:19.97 from this year's Penn Relays.

Day 2 begins at 9 a.m., tomorrow with the continuation of the multi-events. The final event of Saturday is at 6 p.m., with the men's relay trials.
