The Princeton wrestling team was named one of eight finalists for the Best of Brand “Paramount Promotion” category for programs which created innovative promotions to build interest in their program during the 2013-14 season, it was announced in a collaboration between Elite Level Sports Marketing (ELSM) and the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
Princeton was honored for its efforts surrounding the "Celebration of New Jersey Wrestling" in December, when the Tigers welcomed back all former New Jersey state champions for a procession in the middle of the team's dual match vs. Rutgers in Jadwin Gym.
Princeton is one of eight finalists; the others are Chattanooga, Drexel, Johnson & Wales, Johns Hopkins, NC State, Stanford, and UW-Whitewater.
The criteria for determining the Paramount Promotion award winner will feature two key elements: a panel of judges assessing submission performance (70%) and an online voting competition (30%).
