The Princeton men's and women's squash teams will travel to Columbia Friday, and then will host Cornell Sunday.

The Princeton men's and women's squash teams will complete their 2014 Ivy League seasons this weekend against its Empire State rivals, beginning Friday night at Columbia. Both teams will honor their senior classes Sunday during their noon showdowns against Cornell.

The weekend starts Friday night at 8 pm, as both teams will compete simultaneously against Columbia at the SL Green StreetSquash Center. On Sunday, the teams will compete in a three-shift format at noon against Cornell, and 15 of the 18 individual matches will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

Courts 1-3 will serve as the women's courts against Cornell, and all matches will be streamed live. The men will play on Courts 4-6, and all matches on Courts 4 and 5 will be streamed live (they are currently slated for the 1-6 matches).

The women are currently ranked fifth nationally, and they will try to defend that ranking this weekend against ninth-ranked Columbia and sixth-ranked Cornell. Princeton is 7-3, but it has lost three close matches within the Ivy League. Last weekend, the Tigers went 2-1, with the lone loss coming 5-4 against the fourth-ranked Yale Bulldogs.

They will honor their four seniors (Libby Eyre, Caroline Feeley, Lexi Saunders and Alex Sawin) before Sunday's match with Cornell. That group helped Princeton win the 2013 Ivy League championship, and will try to add a Howe Cup national team title when Jadwin serves as the host in two weeks.

While the women will try to defend their ranking, the men will likely have an opportunity to move up this weekend. While the most recent rankings haven't been released, Princeton figures to be behind Cornell and potentially outside of the top eight. However, since a 7-2 loss at Penn, when junior All-America Tyler Osborne was injured and out of the lineup, the Tigers have pushed both Trinity and Yale in close losses.

Last Sunday, Princeton nearly stunned third-ranked Yale in a 5-4 loss at Jadwin. Senior co-captain Ash Egan pushed the final match to a fifth game after falling behind 2-0, but he fell just short in an 11-8 loss. Both Egan and fellow co-captain Dylan Ward, a starter on Princeton's 2012 national championship team, will be honored prior to the Cornell match.

Friday's match against Columbia will feature a pair of high-level showdowns at the top two spots. Columbia junior Ramit Tandon, a 2012 national finalist, will likely meet Samuel Kang at the No. 1 position, while younger brother Rishi Tandon will take on Osborne at the No. 2 spot.
