QUEENS, N.Y. (10/15/13) - The St. John's men's soccer team scored twice in the first half to halt Princeton's unbeaten streak at three with a 2-0 game on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Belson Field.

Princeton headed to the Big Apple on a 2-0-1 unbeaten streak.

St. John's, a team receiving votes in the national poll, got on the board in the ninth minute with a goal from Sean Sepe. Sepe intercepted a pass about 30 yards out, dribbled into the box and claimed the goal.

Jimmy Mulligan made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute when he knocked in his own rebound after a beautiful save by goalkeeper Seth MacMillan. MacMillan made one more save during the game.

Princeton once again had a produtive second half with shots falling in its favor 9-2. Rafael Diaz made two saves to perserve the shutout for the Storm. St. John's did not get a shot on goal in the second half. Diaz had a three-save total as the Red Storm improve to 7-5-1.

Princeton finished the game with a 12-9 lead in shots and had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Up next is a pivotal Ivy League match-up for the Tigers as they host Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 18. Both teams are undefeated in league play with Princeton 1-0-1 and Columbia 0-0-2. Princeton will also honor its 1993 NCAA semifinalist team at halftime.
