Hill was named the Men's Rookie of the Week. After completing his first season as a cornerback for the football team, Hill picked up his first track victory in the 60-meter dash at the Princeton New Year’s Invitational. After two false starts in the final, Hill defeated runners from Rutgers and Delaware State, finishing in 6.93. That is the best time by any Ivy freshman so far this season.
Ratcliffe was named the Women's Athlete of the Week. She posted the greatest series and best single weight throw in Ivy League history at the Princeton New Year's Invitational. Ratcliffe set a new Ivy record three times. Her second toss of 19.23 (63-1) broke the league mark of Princeton’s Thanithia Billings, set in 2010 (63-0 1/4). After a foul, Ratcliffe pushed the record to 19.42 (63-8) in her fourth attempt and then 19.58 (64-3) in her fifth. Ratcliffe was fourth in the hammer throw at the World Junior Championships in Barcelona this summer. Ratcliffe was also named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.
