The Princeton men's volleyball team extended its winning ways with a 3-0 sweep over Vassar Saturday afternoon at Dillion Gym. The Tigers did not need another five set thriller versus the Brewers, as they took control early and swept an opponent for the first time in over a month. Princeton defeated Vassar 25-21, 25-17, 25-17 to improve to 9-9 on the year.

Michael Dye and Cody Kessel combined for 27 of Princeton's 43 kills in the match. Dye had a team-best 14, while Kessel made 13. The Tigers made 30 digs, with Dexter Scobee tallying a game-high seven.

Vassar held a slight advantage in the first set until the Tigers rallied back with four consecutive points to take a 17-14 lead. From that point forward, Princeton remained in control to win 25-21.

Up 10-9, a four-point rally from Kessel and Scott Liljestrom lifted Princeton to a second set victory. The duo combined to put Vassar in too large of a hole, as the Tigers cruised to a 25-17 win.

Like the first set, Vassar controlled the early portion of the third set. Both sides would trade points until Princeton tied the set 21-21. The Tigers concluded the game with four unanswered points to seal the sweep, 25-21.

The Tigers remain at home, hosting Kean next on Wednesday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
