The Princeton men's volleyball team saw its win streak end at six Saturday afternoon, as the Harvard Crimson completed a regular season sweep of the Tigers with its second straight 3-2 win.

It was the second time this season and fourth time in the last five meetings that a Princeton-Harvard match has gone the distance, and the Crimson has pulled out each fifth set. With the final set even at 12-12, Harvard took the final three points, including the winner on a service ace by Nick Bendell.

While the conclusion was tense, all four sets were fairly one-sided. Both teams split 25-20 sets to open the match, and then followed with a split of 25-18 sets. The final set stayed within two points either way until Bendell's winning serve caught the inside of the back line.

Senior Pat Schwagler and junior Cody Kessel both had 16 kills for Princeton, while sophomore Devin Stearns had 10 kills. Freshman setter Chris Kennedy recorded 44 assists, while junior Tony Ensbury led the defensive effort with 17 digs. Freshman Junior Oboh had a career-best nine blocks, while junior middle Will Siroky had six kills and four blocks.

The loss keeps the top of the EIVA standings bunched up. Penn State, at 6-1 in EIVA play, leads by percentage points, while Harvard (7-2 EIVA) holds a half-game lead over Princeton (6-2).

Princeton returns to league play next weekend when it heads to Rutgers-Newark for a 1 pm showdown next Saturday.
